Postdoctoral researcher

Nabhanila received her Ph.D. from the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, where she used focused ion beam microstructuring to study hydrodynamic electron flow in highly conducting delafossite metals. In August 2019, she joined the Moler group at Stanford as a postdoctoral scholar, focusing on developing a new generation of nano-SQUID-on-tip sensors and investigating the magnetic properties of hybrid semiconductor–ferromagnetic insulator nanowires using scanning SQUID microscopy. Since 2024, she has been working with the Boettcher group to develop a state-of-the-art scanning RF SQUID platform for exploration of quantum materials and quantum circuits, aimed at spatially mapping and uncovering the underlying loss mechanisms in superconducting qubits.
